Phillip BaldwinPhillip N. Baldwin
Mr. Baldwin is President and Chief Executive Officer of Southern Bancorp, a $600 million development bank holding company that operates three development banks and three non-profit organizations in Arkansas and Mississippi.

Mr. Baldwin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the United Way of America Board of Trustees - where he is chairman of the finance committee and treasurer, Arkansas Capital Corporation, Ouachita Baptist University, the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, and the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement.

In 2007, Mr. Baldwin was appointed by Governor Beebe to serve on the Governor’s Roundtable on Health Care. Also in 2007 he received the United States Small Business Administration District Directors Special Award for Entrepreneurial Leadership and was named Arkansas Economic Development Volunteer of the Year by the Economic Developers of Arkansas.

Mr. Baldwin has over 28 years of experience in banking, beginning his career in the banking services group of Ernst and Young. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.



John EdwardsJohn Edwards
John Edwards is the executive director of the White River Irrigation District and an attorney at law with Edwards Law Office. He formerly was the Arkansas state director of USDA Rural Development from 1996-2001, the lead federal agency charged with improving living conditions in rural America. While there, he directed the business and housing loan and grant programs and coordinated the state's economic development efforts. Mr. Edwards joined Southern Financial Partners' board in 2001.



Leverne FeasterLaVerne Feaster
LaVerne Feaster is a retired educator and administrator from the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. Mrs. Feaster's impressive 40-year education career includes programs in 4-H, home economics, youth development, and community development. Her current and past board and commission appointments include the Commission for Arkansas' Future, the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission, Wilowe Institute, Arkansas Rice Depot, Florence Crittenden Home Senior Board, the Arkansas Association of Children Under Six, the Arkansas Teen Suicide Prevention Commission, 4-H Foundation and the Arkansas Repertory Theater Board. Mrs. Feaster joined Southern Financial Partners' board in 1991.

Dr. Bob FisherDr. Bob Fisher

Dr. Bob Fisher is president at Belmont University in Tennessee. Prior to his appointment at Belmont in April 2000, he was vice president for Academic Affairs at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and dean of the School of Business at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. He has been published on topics including workforce development, management, and leadership and has consulted many leading companies including Tyson Foods, Arkla Gas, Maybelline Corporation, Kimberly Clark Corporation, and the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission. He is a member of Rotary, and is a board member of United Way of Metropolitan Nashville and serves as vice chairman of Greater Nashville Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Fisher joined Southern Financial Partners' board in 1991.

Dr. Glen Jones Jr.Dr. Glendell Jones, Jr.

Dr. Glendell Jones, Jr. is the Assistant to the President for Diversity Initiatives at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He formerly was an assistant professor of accounting at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia and a business law professor at Arkansas State University. Dr. Jones earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville and earned a Master of Laws in Taxation degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Jones is a former board member of Elk Horn Bank & Trust. He joined Southern Financial Partner's board in 2002.

Brian MillerBrian Miller (Chairman)
Brian Miller is a United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Since 2000, Judge Miller has served on multiple Southern boards and was the first African-American board member of First Bank of the Delta. He is the Vice President and founder of the Vanderbilt Law School Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Arkansas, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations.

Walt Patterson
Walt Patterson is senior vice president of Affiliated Computer Services. Mr. Patterson'scareer includes serving as president and chief operating officer of Health Care Training Corporation; director of the Arkansas Department of Human; and vice president and manager of Corporate Development at Worthen Bank and Trust. He is the national board chair of Volunteers of America and the Electronic Fund Transfer Association. His current and past affiliations also include the National Council of State Human Service Administrators, Public Welfare Association; the Arkansas State Job Training Coordinating Council; the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Healthy Futures Advisory Committee: the Arkansas Indigent Health Care Commission, and the Governor's SubCabinet on Independence. Mr. Patterson joined Southern Financial Partners' board in 1991.
